2. Permitted Use & Code Ownership

Devpads is an open-source, non-signup collaborative code sharing utility. You retain full ownership, intellectual property rights, and copyright to any code, logs, text, or markdown you paste into the editor.

Your Responsibilities: You agree NOT to use Devpads to:

• Upload, paste, or distribute malicious code, viruses, malware, trojan horses, or files containing harmful scripts.
• Paste highly sensitive, proprietary, or private commercial configurations, passwords, API tokens, database keys, or personally identifying info.
• Publish any illegal, threatening, defamatory, harassing, or trademark-violating text.
• Engage in automated scraping, script-based spam creation, or denial-of-service activities.

We reserve the absolute right to delete any pad immediately and without prior notice if we deem it violates these Terms or is flagged as unsafe/malicious.

3. Service Limitations & Data Expiry

Devpads is provided as-is without any warranties of any kind. Since we operate as a lightweight collaborative tool without user registrations:

• Temporary Storage: Code pads are designed for temporary sharing. To keep database structures clean, pads that have received zero views or edits over a rolling **24-hour** period are subject to automated deletion.
• No Backup Warranty: We do not offer backup services. You must maintain local copies of any critical code snippets you share on the platform.
• Uptime & Continuity: We strive to maintain continuous service but cannot guarantee 100% server uptime or flawless operation. We are not responsible for any lost code, failed updates, or missing collaborative sessions.

4. Disclaimer of Liability

In no event shall Devpads, its creator Madhukar, or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Devpads, even if notified of the possibility of such damage.

5. Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on Devpads could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Devpads does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. We may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice.
